Dear Confirmation Parents and Students,
The Rite of Confirmation for students beginning 9th grade will be Sunday, October 25, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 Highway B, Stoughton. This celebration of your son or daughter’s affirmation of baptism will take place in our worship sanctuary.
We share this information with you because it is important to place on your calendar, to call and invite family and baptismal sponsors to join you, and to help busy parents schedule events. The service will take last about 75 minutes with refreshments in our café following the service.
Photographs of the class and individual confirmation students will be taken before the worship service at 3:00 p.m. Students will meet with pastors on two Sunday afternoons from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in October to be measured, make their stoles, and prepare themselves for this milestone of faith. These are necessary and mandatory class meetings. Pastors will provide food for the kids during these gatherings.
Pastor Scott and Paula and the adult confirmation guides of your sons and daughters have truly enjoyed their presence and participation in confirmation. Each one has gifts and talents and is beloved by Christ. We, too, love them as well!
